Collision Repair in Houston, TX
We have been on Erin Street since 2006, and in that time roughly eleven hundred people have taken the trouble to leave a review. The one thing they mention more than the paint or the panel gaps is that somebody told them what was happening.
Communication is the actual complaint people have
Ask anyone who has had a bad auto body shop experience and the story is almost never "they did the work wrong." It is "nobody called me back for nine days." So there is an advisor on your file who sends updates, answers a text, and tells you when a part is late instead of hoping you do not notice. One customer described being kept in the loop at every step. Another dropped his car off on a Monday and collected it Friday, exactly as promised.
What the repair involves
We inspect, write a detailed plan, and send it to your adjuster before anything starts. Nothing gets touched until you and your insurer have both approved it.
Once the panels come off, additional damage almost always turns up, because an impact travels further than the dent suggests. That becomes a supplement, documented with photographs and taken to the adjuster by us. You do not negotiate with anybody.
Insurance collision repair, start to finish
Bring your claim number and we take it from there. We work with every major carrier: Geico, State Farm, Progressive, Allstate, USAA, Farmers, Liberty Mutual, and the rest.
The sequence does not change. We inspect the vehicle and write the repair plan. The plan goes to your adjuster before anything is touched. When the teardown turns up more damage, we photograph it, write the supplement, and take it to the adjuster ourselves. You are not the one on the phone arguing about a quarter panel. That is our job, and after twenty years of doing it we generally know what a given carrier will ask for before they ask.
Your deductible, in plain terms
Your deductible is the share of the repair your policy leaves to you. If another driver hit you and their carrier accepts liability, you usually pay nothing at all. If the claim runs through your own collision coverage, you pay the deductible and your insurer pays the balance.
You will know that number before any work begins, and it does not move unless you approve a change first. Every part and every hour is on the estimate, so you can see exactly what you are paying for.
Rental cars and getting around
Most policies include rental coverage. Where yours does, we coordinate the rental against the repair schedule, which is what keeps you from paying out of pocket for extra days at the end. If your policy has no rental coverage, we work with local providers to get you a fair rate. Tell us at drop-off and we make the arrangement.
You choose the shop, not your insurer
Whatever a claim rep suggests, the shop is your decision. That is your right under Texas law, your claim is paid the same either way, and a carrier's "preferred" list is a business arrangement between that shop and the insurer rather than a measure of the work.
